Inspirational storytelling helps to drive transformative policy – Ashton helps to bring those stories to life.
Prior to her current role, Ashton worked as a Digital Communications Specialist on Joe Biden’s presidential campaign. In this role, she was responsible for creating engaging content including graphics and digital tool kits. She also drafted policy and voting talking points to be used for social media and a robust texting campaign to target voters across Pennsylvania. Prior to the Biden Campaign Ashton worked for Representative Brian Sims for almost three years, working in numerous roles including Community Relations Director and Constituent Services Director. As we know Brian to be no stranger to embrace a crisis, we’re excited to have a former member of his team help support and strengthen our crisis communications capacity. Ashton began her start in Public Affairs as an intern at Ceisler Media & Issue Advocacy where she learned the fine art of drafting media advisories, press releases, and pitches to get reporters to respond and more importantly was introduced to our good friend Critical Mention.
Ashton graduated from Temple University with a BS in Political Science and Public Relations. A native-born Pennsylvanian, Ashton was raised in Western PA but now calls Philadelphia home. She serves as an Alumni Board member of the Temple University College of Liberal Arts. When Ashton is not working, she is spending time outdoors and lives in the Fairmount section of the city.
