Scott Turner is an NFL player-turned-Congressman who is the Chief Visionary Officer at JPI. He currently chairs the Center for Education Opportunity at the America First Policy Institute, a think tank set up by former staffers from Trump's first presidency to prepare for a second term. Turner has previously worked very closely with Trump’s HUD Secretary during his first term, Ben Carson.

Turner supported Carson on initiatives like the Opportunity Zones during Trump’s first term, so his experience could be helpful. However, critics have suggested that wealthy investors benefit more than community members from Opportunity Zones.
